Sunday, Family Day

Same routine as last week, we went to church at Gensan and as usual, we came a little late. It was a good experience listening to God's words. There were no sliding kids anymore. LOL. After that, we went to KCC for early lunch and went to grocer to replenish our delpleting stock. We went home after that. I decided to take some nap since I slept late last night.

Eventhough against my will, I washed my motor bike. I hate this activity because it always make my hands grow some scales. My skin tolerance of detergent soap is low, it dries up and peels off.I proceeded to bath my two cutie jap spitz.

Jollibee at KCC Mall. Jollibee is the largest fast food chain in the Philippines.

My dad and sis waiting for my mom at verification counter.

My bro joined the fun of waiting.

Fruit section at the grocery area. Yum!

My less favorite fruit. Nicely arranged though and very attractive.

Hotdogs at meat section. We have minimized consuming all the animal meat. Some issues about health.

Mom picking up some chicken parts for our dogs.

Tasty but expensive dried pusit. I'm a fan of this stuff.

Weird stuff. Fish skeleton?!?. We bought it though just to satisfy curiosity.

People rushing in and out in the wet grocery.

Smelly spices. Love it but hate the smell when raw.

Super spicy hot liquid. All the chili variants are in there I suppose. Never tried one of those.

Pilit Rice (black and white) use to make "biko". Biko is a Filipino native food, a member of "kakanin" food class. This class compose mainly of root crops and rice and its variants.

Crabs. I like crabs before but don't want it now. I realized it looks like giant spiders. Eeeee.

At the counter.

At home, we trained our chicks and their mother(aside from dogs, we have love birds, fish and chicken as pet also) to sleep in the tree. It's more dangerous for them to sleep in the ground since there are many stray cats lurking around. But it was no success, because the mother wants to climb higher in the tree and the chicks can't.

Either one of them is the father. LOL.

Watching TV

It's good to watch TV again. It's been a long time that I have a watched a TV that long. It feels like too "high school" and I like it. Usually my eyes are always glued to my computer. It's interesting to watch these investigative reporting of both ABS-CBN and GMA. Maybe they should keep doing that for good. I think it helps a lot to some.

Bluetooth Problem

I haven't load the pictures yesterday, I have some bluetooth problem. My bluesoil software doesn't work anymore and doesn't let me connect to the computer. I think it was my brothers reconfigurating my computer. Why can't he stick to his computer? Anyway, yesterday at school was fairly enjoyable. Our instructor barely touched our topics, he just keeps on chatting about life and corporate situation of Gensan. He said that eventhough Gensan is moving forward economy wise, the professionalism in terms on directing/handling people lags behind. That's why big companies here kept on hiring Manila products for Managerial position.

Waiting my classmate at bus terminal (the place we agree where I wait). We went together at school, luckily we don't have to commute today. I have borrowed the car.

Face showing interest while our professor discussed his life in US and Canada.

At work

We had a meeting this afternoon. In the meeting, we discussed the important issues affecting product quality, mostly on plastic cups. The meeting was attended by people who are under our section.

At school, I was happy because I have submitted the paper early and early submissions do earn bonuses. Hehehe.

Just another day

We had our POM class this night. Our instructor assigned us topic for presentation. I must be quick on this since I can't almost find no time at night to accomplish these stuff. Anyway, generally our session today was good and informative. I secretly took a picture of my classmates who are listening intently. Hehehe. After the class, I went to my friend, he announced that he passed the written exam for managerial position related to selling. I'm glad for him.

Immersion

Our session today is fun. We had our immersion to different establishment. This will give us a background on how entrepreneurs established their businesses inspite of tight competition. On my paper report, I will relate innovation as a way of their success. I have chosen Kabayan Nelson and Chicken Haus. These are both food establishment since there's no open establishment related to dry goods selling (aside from the mall) this late in the evening.

Printer searching

Since I'm taking an MBA now, I have the feeling of replacing my old printer. It's slow and quality kinda sucks. I have an experience before that and I almost didn't passed the papers because my printer is so slow (well aside from I didn't make those projects in advance). I was browsing the internet this night and I came up what the Villman offers - Epson Aculaser C1100 with free Epson R310 and extra black toner. That's a lot of offer. The R310 alone costs almost P10k. That's a very good deal since I'm planning to buy a photo printer also. Anyway, I'm still looking into this. That Laser printer is very uselful since I'll still have more than two years to go to finsih my schooling.

No Wifi Again!

I have not posted the entry yesterday. I have posted the late entry of Saturday but my wifi connection was cut off. Grrr!! Next time it will do again, I will report it and ask for rebate. Anyway, this is the entry:

I'm quite exhausted today. My family went shopping to Gen San City. But before shopping we went to Church. Our family has a strong culture of attending and participating to religious activities such as Sunday Mass. So, before we start our day, we always attend to Holy Mass. At church, I took a seat away from them. I want to be alone, to feel His presence. Because sometimes, when I'm having a seat beside with my bro and sis, I'm always tempted to have a small chat with them even the mass is going on. But still, even I'm alone, I get distracted by the people around me. Funny though, can't help notice, that when a child passes near me, they always stumble. Maybe they see the evil in me. LOL.

Taking picture of pebbles in front of me. Ahh ok, this explains. It's not the evil in me.

Buying Takuyaki at Gaisano Center. The oldest shopping center at Gen San.

Going to School and Office Supplies to look for plastic cased folder. Didn't the find right one.

Browsing some greeting cards.

It's lunch time at Nanay Bebing's. Father on the background and younger bro on the foreground.

My mom, she's ready to eat.

Yum Yum. I like the fish much. I think it's blue marlin. Not sure.

My bro waiting at cashier.

KCC mall center alley. KCC mall is the most popular mall at Gen San. Too many people during Sunday. Can't take out the thought that the floor would collapse at some point. Hope not. Hehehe.

Movie Marathon Day

After I have posted the late entry yesterday of the other day, I have forgotten to post yesterday's entry. I think I'm getting old. I need to exercise my brain sometimes. How about sleeping as an exercise? LOL. So, this post is all about yesterday and I will double post this time to include this day's event.

Yesterday, I was having a movie marathon (I'm half day Saturday at work). I watched 3 movies consecutively. First, Creep, it's all about a deformed guy enjoying a killing spree and the substation. Second, Matchstick Men, a really good movie starring Nicholas Cage. I was surprised in the end although I'm having a suspicion that all were just lies. Third movie was The Myth, starring Jackie Chan. Good stunts and effects but the story and plot were poor. I started watching at noon and ended past 6, of course with breaks. I have consumed a big pitcher of iced tea and two large potato chips. Feels like I will gain weight after.

No Wifi

I wasn't able to post yesterday. Our wifi service is down until this evening. Hope this won't happen again. But still I will post what happened. Well, nothing really big yesterday at school. We started our first lesson. It was quite a refresher since I have encountered those topics already during my college days. It's nice to remember them again (seems like I have buried them somewhere, hehehe). Yesterday's lesson is a surface introduction to Production and Operations and Management. Back in college, we called it "Production, planning and control".
Very Industrial Engineering topic.

After school, I met with my friend. He told me his problems. I listened and give him some advise and I hope it helped.

I took this picture while our professor presented the lesson.

The teacher is my old boss

My entreprenuership subject tonight caught me on surprise. The teacher is my previous boss when I was at HR. I don't know how to feel, I feel happy, I also feel nervous. But anyway, looks like the modules she presented are ok and interesting. Will make it work for the rest of the summer class.

I also learned (in a hard way) a very important lesson tonight. When commuting, never ride a passenger van. I stayed more than an hour on that van just to get to Gensan. Feels like hell on earth. I arrived 7PM in school. My class sched started at 6AM. I'm super duper late. Luckily, today's session is all about introduction of policies and schedules.

Pic below is the picture I took during the meeting. I forgot to turn off the volume and they all heard the phone's artificial camera shutter sound. I just played innocent. Hehehehe.

First day at class

This night I attended the first day of my MBA program. The class started at 6 PM. I was late because I have to commute. I arrived around 6:20 PM. The instructor was already briefing my classmates. My first impression was I think he's a lenient teacher. Can't tell this time how well can he teach but I can see that he's good. Actually we ended past 7 pm instead of our scheduled 9 PM. So I went to my friend and take our dinner at Dimsum, a chinese restaurant. I'm hoping that the schedule will be the same tomorrow so I can go around the city for a while.

Pic taken at Dimsum.

Orienting OJT

There's a new On-the-Job trainee in our department that's directly reporting to me. I was not advised that she will be reporting to me, so my schedule in the morning was ruined. I oriented her about the projects during her tenure in our office. These are mostly programming jobs using MS Access. There was this program I made that I can't finish because I can't get the right codes. So I delegated it to her. She's a computer science student. I hope that it will be finished at the end of her stay.

After an hour of orientation, she started tweaking the program which left me computerless. So i just worked on some of my projects (establishing reference for standard color of pineapple and papaya) and read some books later that day.

Enrollment

With everything's back to normal and offices are open again, I decided to enroll and continue my Master's degree in Business Administration. I took a vacation leave in the afternoon and went to Notre Dame of Dadiangas College at General Santos City. I was having fun because it felt like I'm back to my college days. I saw young faces, familiar laughters, chit chat and long lines at offices. For this summer, I took BA209 Entreprenuership and e-Commerce and BA212 Productions and Operations and Management. The program will last for a month only. After that, I have to enroll to regular class which should start June.

This is the office (Graduate Studies Office) where I processed my enrollment. I was having a hard time filling up all those forms.

Easter Sunday

I'm so groggy this mornig, we woke up 3 AM. I didn't even took a bath, I just feel sleepy. We have this tradition in our parish church called as "sugat". This a renactment of Jesus resurrection. I'm glad we still have these commemoration. Number of people joining never get smaller. Only getting larger inspite of these times complexity.

The picture below (it's not clear, hey it's 4AM) is the struture wherein the enacment took place. It's decorated with lights and flowers. Its located at the center of intersection. About 100 meters of both sides of it were handcarried life size statue of Jesus and Mother Mary. Both will meet at the structure. An angel (acted by a little girl) high above the structure will descend using harness. As if she was flying. This signifies the resurrection if I'm not wrong.

Black Saturday

Today is a black Saturday and ironically, my blog came to life. I have finally found a way to post a pic. I have just posted a pic using the previous post. Yehey! Now I can continue on blogging.

Yesterday's a big day and i found a use for my SEw800i's camera. I took picture of 14 stations re-enactment. This is in-line of our church's celebration for Holy Week, specifically, Good Friday. The pics quality were not so good (I miss my Sharp 903sh good camera quality), but at least they're usable.

What a night!

Its a very tiresome night today. I have waited for a friend at the Bus Terminal for more than 1.5 hr. Just lost my patience. I'm very particular to waiting and gets easily irritated when waited too long. But anyway, I have learned to forgive this night.

Been searching around the net whats the best blog generator for my site... and this is it!! - My brandnew life blog. I have no intentions of creating traffic, this is just for my personal consumption. This day starts my first blog.
